The top notch sharp edge is involved 100's of layers of example welded high carbon steel (1095) and 15N20. The rotating layers of hard and delicate present more adaptability and strength to the steel than a strong homogeneous edge , and act similar as serrations on the edge to support cutting.
The handle is even with the sharp edge while the blade fits cozily into a Hand Tooled Top Grain Earthy colored Calfskin Sheath.
Damascus blade of the knife is the result of hours and hours of forging. Not many custom makers can keep such pattern of layers upon layers flowing all the way to the edge of the blade, which creates a saw-blade effect at microscopic level, allowing the blade to keep cutting while other blades have dulled. BCK Hand forged the blade of this chef knife with 1095 and 15N20. Blade was given excellent heat treatment and Rockwell hardness of the blade along its edge is 54 and along the spin is 42-45.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
